Recommend a good bartending book?
I've been reading on yahoo answers that a lot of you recommend buying a bartending book instead of taking a bartending class. So can anyone recommend a really good one?
To get a new job in bartending, is it a good idea to refresh knowledge of coctails with a book on cocktails?
If changing from one bartending job to another, and you havent made drinks in a few weeks, Is it a good idea to go ahead and refresh your memory with a bunch of drink recipes from a book on cocktails that you bought independenlty of any job to be familiar with recipes, taking into account, every recipe of a particular drink seems different depending on who is making it, and every place will have their own way of making a particular drink? What is the word on this?

I went to a bartending school and soon after i graduated i quickly learned that i'd wasted my money and chucked my book out the car window... well now i have 3 years exp. and my friend wants me to teach her everything she needs to know and i'd like to have a guide to make sure i get everything covered, b.c now that i think about it the book was actually quite informative except all those usless recipes who drinks manhattans anymore? ? ? Anyone still have one they don't need?
